Few information are available on the web about Aaron Thomas. Everlasting Records home page is outdated and this guy have no other home site but his myspace page. To be concise, Aaron’s an Australian songwriter who resides in Madrid. So Mr Thomas, if you read this short post, please contact us, it will be a pleasure to offer you a longer introduction. Anyway, his first full length album called ‘Follow the Elephants’ has been released couple days ago and is available to buy and download from emusic.com. It’s the most orginal release I’ve heard from the beginning of 2008 and I bet that it will be on my best releases list this year.

As mentionned on his myspace profile his influenced includes different artists as The Beatles, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Edith Piaf, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and more. Even if this list sounds like a good marketing recipe, the listening of his album confirms such a melting. I will draw one more parallel : his music is as inventive as Elvis Perkins or Mark Berube - but I wouldn’t be able to write closest comparisons between those artists… Of course : Talent !
