Wise Children is a musical project from the South Coast of England created by multi-instrumentist Robin Warren-Adamson. He released couple days ago (on April 7th) his second ep “Absence & Reunion” a stunning 6 tracks collection. Don’t miss his previous one available as a free download on his bandcamp site ; this guy is gold.
Probably my favourite J. Tillman track is “Casualties”. I almost fell of my chair when I saw Luxury Wafers put a nice little video of a live recording of it for their recent session with the Tills.
I know I (and others on this blog) preach about Josh Tillman…but seriously, chills.
Visit Luxury Wafers for 3 live tracks (even a nice version of a track from his new 7″ that just came out last week) for free download with one simple click RIGHT HERE.
I’ve received on april 17th a mail from Jon Jackson about a new video available on vimeo. Days have rolled full of procrastination… and yesterday as I was cleaning my mailbox, Jon’s message went back top of the list… For the best of your day, give you the chance to click the play button right now and you will enjoy the result of a four months effort. Beautiful !
As some of you may already know I own an Event Planning firm located in Southern California. I’m also a huge music fan and write for a this amazing music blog. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing many artist found on my myspace friends list and featured their music, up and coming tours, new albums and any related news here.
I’ve always wanted to find a project in which I could incorporate both my love of planning with music. I’m excited to say that this year I’ve partnered up with some amazing people and that goal is soon to be realized. This new project is geared towards brides, grooms, and vendors in the Wedding and Event Planning industry, but as you all know many of those individuals will always have a need for music. Our new site will feature videos done in a cinematic form and we will need music to accompany such videos.
I immediately thought of some of my close friends who are already trying to promote their music via grass roots efforts and then thought well why not extend the offer to everyone on here. We are looking for permission to use your music in our featured videos and in return we would promote your music and link you off my site as our featured artist.
Here is a short video sample of what will be doing:

As if I don’t already have enough things on my plate. One of my resolutions, on my very short list, of things to do this year is listen to even more music, live music that is. The one constant thing in my life that truly makes me happy is music. After all it’s the universal language of love, sadness, and happiness. Music touches all of us in a different but very profound way. So to start of the year on the right foot I’m excited to introduce you to Joey Ryan. He will be performing this upcoming Monday, January 5th at The Hotel Cafe. It’s songwriter roundup that night and a little birdie told me there will be one very special guest there that night so it’s one night I don’t want to miss.
You can find his music on iTunes or buy directly from here. I’ve posted a free download of “As It Must Be” and video, but my favorite song thus far is “Like a Cloak” head on over to his myspace page to take a listen. Enjoy and see you The Hotel Cafe!
I loved Joey’s MySpace about section so I’ll post here for your viewing pleasure.
